Christmas Sangria

A seasonal white wine sangria combines cranberry, pear, and pomegranate with a spicy ginger beer twist for a festive Christmas punch.

Instructions

  1. Rinse and thinly slice pears, removing seeds and stems, then coat with lemon juice to prevent browning.

  2. Combine the prepared pears, cranberries, and pomegranate arils in a large pitcher.

  3. In a separate container, mix white wine, brandy, and cranberry juice, then stir in sugar to taste until dissolved.

  4. Pour the wine mixture over the fruits in the pitcher, cover, and refrigerate for a minimum of four hours, ideally overnight.

  5. Just before serving, add ginger beer to the pitcher, starting with 12 ounces and adjusting to desired taste, stirring after each addition.

  6. Serve the sangria in glasses, optionally garnished with rosemary and extra fruit.
