Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Line a 9x13-inch sheet pan with foil and parchment paper.

  3. Arrange crackers in a single layer to cover the pan.

  4. Combine butter, sugar, and salt in a pot over medium heat; cook until melted, dissolved, and boiling.

  5. Boil for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and achieves a caramel consistency.

  6. Pour hot toffee over crackers, spread evenly, then bake for 8-10 minutes until bubbly and golden.

  7. Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips over the toffee, let melt for 1-2 minutes, then spread into a thin layer.

  8. Add sprinkles if desired. Let candy harden at room temperature for at least 2 hours, or refrigerate after 30 minutes for faster setting.

  9. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
