Chocolate Matzo for Passover

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with foil, spray it, and arrange matzo in a single layer.

  2. Heat butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, bringing the mixture to a boil.

  3. Pour the caramel evenly over the matzo, spreading with a knife to cover.

  4. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until the caramel is golden brown.

  5. Turn off the oven, remove the matzo, and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over it.

  6. Return the matzo to the warm oven for 2 minutes, then remove and spread the melted chocolate.

  7. Sprinkle with salt and nuts (if using), then let cool before breaking into pieces.
