Chocolate Leaves

Delicate chocolate leaves serve as elegant edible decorations for cakes and cupcakes.

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with waxed or parchment paper.

  2. Melt candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

  3. Brush a thick layer of melted coating onto the underside of each leaf.

  4. Place coated leaves, chocolate side up, on the prepared paper and repeat for all.

  5. Refrigerate the tray for 20 minutes to set the chocolate.

  6. Carefully peel the natural leaves from the set chocolate.

  7. Optionally, brush luster dust onto the chocolate leaves for a metallic finish.
