Chocolate-Dipped Pretzels

Line a baking sheet with waxed or parchment paper.

Melt chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth; if using chocolate chips, add 1 tablespoon shortening to thin.

Dip pretzels, either rods leaving 1-2 inches uncovered or twists fully submerged, into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip before placing on the prepared sheet.

Refrigerate for 15 minutes to set the chocolate.
