Chocolate-Dipped Marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.

  2. Combine chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl.

  3. Microwave at medium power for 45 seconds, then stir and continue microwaving in short intervals until the mixture is fully melted.

  4. Dip each marshmallow into the melted chocolate, using a fork to remove excess.

  5. Place dipped marshmallows on the prepared baking sheet.

  6. If desired, immediately sprinkle with candies or sprinkles.

  7. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.

  8. For decoration, melt white chocolate and drizzle it over the set marshmallows.

  9. Briefly refrigerate again until the white chocolate sets, then serve.
