Chocolate Bread Pudding

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Cut bread into 1-inch cubes.

  3. In a large bowl, whisk sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon, salt, milk, cream, eggs, and vanilla.

  4. Fold in bread cubes and chocolate chips; let sit for 30 minutes.

  5. Butter a baking dish; pour in the bread mixture.

  6. Place the dish on a baking sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes until set.

  7. For the topping, melt chocolate chips in the microwave, then stir in heavy cream until smooth.

  8. Pour topping over the pudding and serve warm or at room temperature.
