Chochoyotes are small masa dumplings designed to thicken and enhance soups or broths.

Instructions

Start boiling your cooking medium, such as soup or broth.

Combine masa harina and salt in a large bowl.

Gradually add water, mixing until a soft, smooth dough forms.

Lightly knead the dough for one to two minutes.

Form one-inch balls; press an indentation into each center. Cover them until ready to cook.

Add the chochoyotes to the simmering liquid and cook for about 15 minutes until fully done. Serve immediately.
