Instructions

  1. Heat oil to 350F in a heavy pan or wok for deep-frying.

  2. Toast sesame seeds in a dry pan; set aside.

  3. Cut chicken into 1-inch cubes.

  4. Combine marinade ingredients and marinate chicken for 20 minutes.

  5. Mix all sauce ingredients, bring to a boil in a small pot, then reduce heat and keep warm.

  6. Deep-fry marinated chicken pieces in batches until golden brown; drain on paper towels.

  7. Just before finishing frying, bring the sauce back to a boil.

  8. Arrange chicken on a platter, pour sauce over, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve with rice.
