Chinese Beef Hot Pot - Fondue Chinoise

Instructions

  1. Combine water and beef bouillon in a pot and bring it to a boil; reduce to a simmer, then add white wine, soy sauce, green onion, and ginger.

  2. While the broth simmers, thinly slice the beef. Prepare and arrange all vegetables and other side dishes on platters, cutting mushrooms to bite-size and shredding lettuce as desired.

  3. Transfer enough broth to fill the fondue pot 2/3 to 3/4 full. Place the fondue pot on its burner and maintain a simmer, keeping any remaining broth warm.

  4. Arrange individual bowls of dipping sauces on the table. Provide each guest with a dipping fork and a small serving bowl.

  5. Guests use dipping forks to cook their desired food items in the hot broth, then dip them in the sauces.
