Chilli Potatoes

A spicy Chinese-inspired potato dish, Chilli Potatoes make an excellent snack or appetizer.

Instructions

  1. Deep-fry or oven-bake french fries until golden and crispy.

  2. Heat oil in a wok or deep pan over medium-high heat.

  3. Add onion, garlic, and most spring onion; cook until soft.

  4. Stir in ketchup, chili sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, and a chicken stock cube; cook for 2 minutes.

  5. Add french fries and optional green bell peppers; mix well.

  6. Cook for 30 seconds, then check and adjust salt. If too dry, add 1/4 cup water.

  7. Remove from heat and serve garnished with reserved spring onion and toasted sesame seeds.
