Chili Cheese Fries

Crispy frozen french fries are transformed into a satisfying game-day snack with homemade chili and a rich nacho cheese sauce.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 F.

  2. Brown ground beef and garlic in a large pot. Add tomato sauce, cumin, chili powder, salt, oregano, and cayenne; stir, then simmer for at least 20 minutes.

  3. In a small saucepan, heat milk, cream cheese, processed cheese, cayenne, and garlic powder over low heat, stirring frequently. Whisk in shredded cheddar, then whisk in taco sauce and hot sauce.

  4. Spread french fries in an even layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes, stirring halfway through.

  5. Pile fries in the center of the baking sheet and top with shredded cheddar. Broil until the cheese is melted.

  6. Top the cheesy fries with about half of the prepared chili, then add the nacho cheese sauce.

  7. Optionally, garnish with chopped scallions and a drizzle of taco sauce, serving any remaining cheese sauce on the side.
