Chilean Tomato and Onion Salad

Instructions

  1. Peel and thinly slice the onion into half-moon shapes.

  2. Soak onion slices in salted water for 20 minutes.

  3. Drain, rinse, and pat dry the onions.

  4. Chop the tomato; combine it with lime juice and olive oil in a bowl.

  5. Add the onions and toss well.

  6. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and additional lime juice if desired.

  7. Arrange salad on a plate and garnish with chopped cilantro.
