Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion until translucent, then add garlic, cumin, oregano, and black pepper, cooking for 1 minute.

  3. Stir in canned soups, green chilies, and chicken stock; heat until the sauce is hot.

  4. Spread half of the sauce mixture over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

  5. Layer with one-third of the tortilla strips, chicken, remaining sauce, and cheese.

  6. Repeat the layering process two more times, ensuring the final layer is cheese.

  7. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes until bubbling. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
