Chicken Pasta Casserole With Mushrooms and Cheese

Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 2 1/2 to 3-quart baking dish.

Cook pasta in salted boiling water for about 2 minutes less than package directions, then drain and rinse well.

In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat, then cook mushrooms until tender.

Reduce heat, add garlic, and cook for 1 minute; blend in flour and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes.

Gradually add milk, stirring until thickened, then incorporate 2 cups of shredded cheese, stirring until melted.

Add the chicken, Worcestershire sauce, and pasta to the sauce, mix, and transfer to the prepared baking dish.

Top with the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheese.
