Chicken, Kale, and Pasta Casserole With Cheese

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 F.

Boil salted water and cook pasta as directed on the package, then drain.

Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large pan over medium heat, then cook onion until soft.

Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes.

Add wine and chicken broth, cooking until the mixture thickens and bubbles.

Stir in cream, thyme, parsley, chicken, and kale.

Add cheese, stirring until melted, then season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine the sauce with the pasta and transfer to a lightly greased 2 to 2 1/2-quart baking dish.

Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons butter, toss with breadcrumbs, and spread over the casserole.

Bake for 25 minutes, or until hot and lightly browned; broil briefly if further browning is desired.
