Chicken and Ham Pasta Bake Recipe

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and grease a 2 1/2- to 3-quart baking dish.

  2. Cook and drain pasta according to package directions. In a large skillet with olive oil, sauté onion and celery until tender. Add chicken, diced ham, and Creole seasoning, cooking until the chicken is done; set aside.

  3. Melt 3 tablespoons butter in a large saucepan, then stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk, stirring until the mixture thickens.

  4. Stir in artichokes, half of the Parmesan, 1 1/2 cups cheddar, parsley (if desired), and season with salt and pepper. Combine this mixture with the chicken and ham, then fold in the cooked pasta.

  5. Spoon the pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish, then top with the remaining Parmesan and cheddar cheeses.

  6. Combine breadcrumbs with 1 tablespoon melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.

  7. Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden and bubbly. Serve immediately.
