Chicago Hot Dogs Recipe

Instructions

  1. Start boiling water in a medium saucepan for a steamer basket.

  2. Reduce heat to medium, add hot dogs to the steamer basket, cover, and steam for 5 to 7 minutes.

  3. Place buns over the hot dogs, cover, and steam for 30 seconds until warm.

  4. Place each hot dog in a bun, then add 2 tomato wedges on one side and a pickle spear on the other.

  5. Top each hot dog with 1 tablespoon of relish and zig-zag mustard over it.

  6. Sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon diced onion.

  7. Finish each hot dog with 2 sport peppers and a light dusting of celery salt; serve immediately.
