Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugars, then mix in egg and vanilla until combined.

  4. Gradually add the dry flour mixture to the wet ingredients, then fold in oats and walnuts.

  5. Drop dough onto the prepared cookie sheets, spaced 2 inches apart.

  6. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until edges are light brown, then cool on sheets for 1 to 2 minutes.
