Cheesy Fritos Chili Pie
A hearty Tex-Mex corn chip chili pie combines homemade chili, shredded cheese, and chips into a comforting casserole.

Preheat the oven to 375 F.

In a large skillet, brown ground beef and garlic over medium-high heat, crumbling the meat.

Stir tomato sauce and spices into the beef. Add 1/4 cup water, then cover and simmer on low heat for 1 hour.

Mix masa flour and diced tomatoes into the chili; remove from heat.

Press crescent roll dough into a 9x13-inch baking dish, ensuring it covers the bottom and extends 1/4 inch up the sides.

Stir 1/2 cup shredded cheese into the cooked chili, then pour the mixture over the dough in the baking dish.

Bake for 20 minutes, until the center is bubbly and edges are lightly browned.

Top the casserole with the remaining shredded cheese and taco sauce. Bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese melts.

Remove from oven and sprinkle with crushed corn chips and sliced green onion.
