Cheese and Sausage Quiche

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Line a pie shell with foil, fill with weights or beans, and bake for 7 minutes; cool it on a rack.

  3. In a skillet, brown and drain the sausage until no longer pink.

  4. Arrange sliced hard-cooked eggs in the cooled crust, then top with the drained sausage and shredded cheese.

  5. Whisk together 3 eggs, milk, salt, and pepper, then pour this mixture over the sausage and cheese.

  6. Bake the quiche for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean; let stand 8 to 10 minutes before slicing.
