Instructions

  1. Combine flour and salt in a large bowl.

  2. Add oil and warm water, then mix well to form a dough.

  3. Knead the dough on a clean surface for 10 minutes, form into a ball, wrap, and let rest for 1 hour.

  4. After resting, divide the dough into 6 equal balls.

  5. Roll each ball on a floured surface to an 8-inch diameter.

  6. Heat a dry griddle over medium-high heat.

  7. Cook each chapati, one at a time, for about 1 minute per side until browned and puffed, pressing edges to form air bubbles.

  8. Serve immediately.
