Caribbean-Style Black Beans and Yellow Rice
A flavorful Caribbean yellow rice and black beans dish is easily prepared with sofrito and sazon with annatto.

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat.

Add sofrito and fry for 1 minute.

Stir in sazón, salt, beans, and rice to coat the rice.

Pour in water or broth, bring to a rolling boil for 1 to 2 minutes, then stir.

Reduce heat to low, cover tightly, and cook for 20 minutes without lifting the lid.

Remove lid, fluff the rice, cover again, and let sit for a few minutes before serving.
