Instructions

  1. Whisk together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, sugar, and baking powder in a medium bowl.

  2. Gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, to form a cohesive dough.

  3. Knead the dough for one minute, then cover and set aside for 20 minutes.

  4. Divide the dough into 1-inch pieces, optionally rolling them into balls.

  5. Add the dumplings to soup or stew 8 to 10 minutes before it finishes cooking.

  6. Cover the pot tightly and do not open the lid before the 8-minute mark.
