Caramelized Candied Peanuts

Instructions

Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.

In a heavy-bottomed skillet, combine peanuts, sugar, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture forms a thick syrup.

Continue stirring for about 10 minutes until the liquid evaporates and a sandy sugar coating forms on the peanuts.

Reduce heat slightly and keep stirring as the sugar melts and the syrup turns a light to medium amber color, glazing the peanuts.

Remove from heat, then stir in salt and orange flower water if using.

Spread the peanuts onto the prepared pan in a single layer to cool and harden completely before storing.
