Instructions
-
Prepare a baking sheet and a small loaf pan (8x5 inches) by lining them with foil, spraying the loaf pan foil.
-
Combine caramels and cream in a microwave-safe bowl; microwave and stir until completely smooth.
-
Pour melted caramel into the loaf pan, refrigerate 20-30 minutes until set, then remove and cut into 10 equal pieces.
-
Roll each caramel piece into a 6-inch rope, then wrap it spirally around a pretzel rod, leaving 1-2 inches bare at the bottom.
-
Place wrapped pretzels on the baking sheet and refrigerate them.
-
Melt chocolate candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
-
Dip each caramel-wrapped pretzel into the melted chocolate, covering all but the bottom 1-2 inches, and remove excess.
-
Return dipped pretzels to the baking sheet; if desired, add nuts or sprinkles while the coating is wet. Repeat for remaining pretzels.
-
Refrigerate the tray of pretzels for 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
-
Serve.
