Canelazo (Spiced Cinnamon Rum Drink) Recipe
Canelazo is a traditional hot spiced fruit drink, popular in Ecuador particularly during Christmas, that is fortified with aguardiente or rum.

Instructions

Start boiling water with both types of sugar, lime juice, salt, cloves, and cinnamon sticks.

Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.

Remove from heat, stir in orange juice, and add aguardiente or rum to taste.

Reheat the mixture without boiling, then strain and serve hot.
