Instructions

  1. Combine 2 level tablespoons of cornstarch with all-purpose flour in a 1-cup measure, then level it with a knife.

  2. Sift this mixture into a bowl.

  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each cup of cake flour needed.

  4. Once all ingredients are in the bowl, thoroughly whisk and then sift the total mixture.

  5. Measure the prepared cake flour, leveling each cup to weigh approximately 4 ounces.

  6. Use this substitute in any recipe requiring cake flour.
