  1. Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, nonfat dry milk powder, cornstarch, salt, and vanilla powder in a bowl, whisking thoroughly until lump-free.

  3. To prepare 2 servings, combine 1/4 cup of the mix, 2 tablespoons butter, and 1 cup milk in a small saucepan.

  4. Heat over low heat, stirring continuously until the mixture boils, then gently boil for one minute while stirring.
