  4. Gradually add buttermilk, mixing until a soft dough forms.

  5. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thick on a floured surface. Fold it in half twice, then roll to 1/2 inch. Repeat the folding and rolling process once more, then roll to a final 1-inch thickness.

  6. Cut biscuits with a cutter, pressing straight down.

  7. Arrange biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet, ensuring proper spacing.

  8. Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown. Optionally, brush with melted butter.
