Butter Pecan Ice Cream Recipe

A homemade, honey-sweetened ice cream features butter-toasted pecans for a rich dessert.

Instructions

  1. Warm honey in a saucepan, then mix with milk, whipping cream, and vanilla extract.

  2. Pour into an airtight container and chill for at least 8 hours.

  3. Before churning, melt butter in a skillet, sauté pecans until lightly browned, and cool completely.

  4. Churn the chilled mixture according to manufacturer's directions.

  5. Add the cooled butter pecans to the machine about 15 minutes into the churning process.

  6. Spoon churned ice cream into a freezer-safe container and freeze until set, at least 2 to 4 hours.
