Brown Sugar Fudge

Instructions

  1. Combine brown sugar, white sugar, evaporated milk, and butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Cook, stirring occasionally, until it reaches 236-238 F or soft-ball stage; then remove from heat.

  3. Add vanilla without stirring and let the mixture cool to lukewarm.

  4. Once lukewarm, beat the fudge with a wooden spoon until glossy, then stir in nuts.

  5. Pour the fudge into a buttered 8-inch pan or pie plate.

  6. Cool until firm, then cut into small squares.
