Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F.

  2. Combine 1 cup bread flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl. Heat water and oil to 120-130 F. Add warm liquids to dry ingredients, mixing until blended, then gradually add remaining flour to form a soft dough.

  3. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 45-60 minutes until doubled.

  4. Roll dough into a 14x7-inch rectangle, then roll up tightly from the shorter side and seal edges. Place into a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan, cover, and let rise for 30-45 minutes.

  5. Bake for 30-40 minutes. Remove and cool completely on a wire rack.

  6. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

  7. Using a serrated knife, cut a square from the loaf center, leaving a 1/2-inch border on sides and bottom. Remove the cube, cut into 1-inch pieces, keeping the box intact.

  8. Spread cubes and toast box on a baking sheet. Brush all sides with melted butter. Bake, turning pieces, for about 15 minutes until crisp and golden. Remove cubes and continue baking the toast box for 5-10 minutes more until crisp.

  9. Brush the inside of the toasted bread box with sweetened condensed milk.

  10. Toss toasted bread cubes with strawberries. Spoon into the toast box and drizzle with 2 tablespoons of honey.

  11. Top with ice cream and whipped cream, then garnish with cookies and candies as desired.

  12. Drizzle with the final tablespoon of honey and serve.
