Brazilian Farofa: Toasted Cassava Flour
A traditional Brazilian condiment, Farofa, is prepared from toasted manioc flour.

Instructions

Melt butter and palm oil in a skillet over medium-low heat.

Sauté onions until very soft and golden, about 10 minutes.

Stir in manioc flour and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until toasted and lightly browned.

Season with salt and pepper.

Optionally stir in black olives or hard-boiled eggs.

Serve.
