Instructions

  1. Beat 8 tablespoons of butter in a large mixing bowl until light and creamy.

  2. Incorporate 1 cup of confectioners' sugar by beating until fully combined.

  3. Stir in 3 to 5 tablespoons of brandy to taste; if the mixture curdles, add more confectioners' sugar until it rebinds.

  4. Spoon the butter into a serving dish, cover, and refrigerate until serving.
