Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. If making pie dough, prepare it, divide into 6 half-inch thick disks, wrap, and chill for at least an hour.

  2. In a large bowl, combine blueberries, sugar, and flour, tossing until the fruit is evenly coated.

  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll each dough disk into a 6-inch circle. Place 1/6 of the filling onto one half of each circle, then fold the dough over and crimp the edges to seal.

  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, arrange the turnovers, and cut a few vents on top. Bake for approximately 50 minutes until golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.

  5. Let turnovers rest for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool to warm room temperature before serving.
