Blueberry Freezer Jam

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, mix pectin with water, then bring to a full boil and continue boiling, stirring constantly, for one minute.

  2. Crush berries in a large bowl to your preferred consistency.

  3. Add lemon juice and sugar to the crushed berries, stirring occasionally, and let stand for 10 minutes until the sugar dissolves.

  4. Pour the hot pectin mixture into the berry mixture and stir for 3 to 4 minutes.

  5. Transfer the fruit mixture into freezer containers or small canning jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace.

  6. Cover immediately and let stand at room temperature for 24 hours to allow the jam to firm up.

  7. Store the jam in the freezer.
