Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F (190 C) and grease and flour a 9-inch square baking pan.

  2. Cream butter and granulated sugar, then beat in egg and vanilla until the mixture is smooth.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with milk, beating after each addition until the batter is smooth.

  5. Fold in the blueberries and spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.

  6. For the streusel, combine butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon, then mix until crumbs form.

  7. Sprinkle the streusel over the batter and bake for 35 minutes.

  8. Cool the cake completely before slicing and serving.
