Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.

  2. Roll out thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.

  3. Cut the dough into six squares.

  4. Score each square with a 1/2-inch border, then prick the inner square with a fork about six times.

  5. Transfer the squares to a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  6. Mix cream cheese with sugar and vanilla extract until combined.

  7. Spoon 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of each pastry square and press 6 to 9 blueberries into it.

  8. Beat an egg with water and brush the mixture onto the pastry borders.

  9. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

  10. Dust with confectioners' sugar.
