Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Wash and dry apples, remove their stems, and insert skewers firmly into the stem ends.

  3. Combine unwrapped caramels and water in a microwave-safe bowl, then microwave for 1 minute, stir, and microwave again until completely melted and smooth.

  4. Dip each apple by its skewer into the melted caramel, rotate to cover evenly, twirl to remove excess, scrape the bottom, and place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat for all apples.

  5. Refrigerate the caramel-coated apples for at least 30 minutes to set.

  6. Melt the white candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

  7. Dip each caramel apple into the melted white coating, ensuring it's nearly covered, let excess drip, and return to the baking sheet.

  8. Refrigerate apples for approximately 30 minutes until the white coating sets.

  9. Pipe a ring of red decorating gel around the top of each apple, creating drips to resemble blood.
