Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 F.

  2. Combine 1/3 cup all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper in a shallow bowl.

  3. Coat 3 pounds of bone-in chicken pieces thoroughly with the flour mixture, using either the bowl or a bag.

  4. Melt 1/3 cup unsalted butter in a shallow baking pan within the preheated oven.

  5. Arrange the coated chicken in a single layer, skin-side down, in the melted butter.

  6. Bake for 30 minutes, then turn the chicken and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until an internal temperature of 165 F is reached.
