Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare a 12-15 cup muffin tin by greasing or lining.

Combine flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and optional allspice in a large bowl.

Whisk buttermilk, marmalade, melted butter, and egg in a separate bowl.

Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.

Fold in chopped cranberries and nuts.

Fill prepared muffin cups two-thirds to three-quarters full. Optionally, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a muffin center comes out clean.

Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
