Best Classic Chili

A simple chili featuring ground beef, tomatoes, and beans, easily customizable with additional ingredients and spices.

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat; sauté onions with half the salt and pepper for 2 minutes until translucent.

  2. Stir in chili powder for 1 minute.

  3. Add ground beef, breaking it up and stirring until no longer pink.

  4. Incorporate drained beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and remaining salt and pepper; bring to a simmer.

  5. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer the chili for 20 minutes.

  6. Serve topped with desired ingredients.
