Beer-Battered Chicken Strips

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 360 F.

  2. Whisk egg, beer, and dry ingredients in a bowl until smooth, then cover and let stand for 25 minutes.

  3. Cut chicken breasts into strips.

  4. Dip each chicken strip into the batter, allowing excess to drip off.

  5. Carefully lower strips into the hot oil, cooking for 4 to 6 minutes total until golden, turning occasionally.

  6. Transfer cooked strips to a paper towel-lined tray to absorb excess oil.

  7. Serve immediately.
