Beef Round Tip Roast
A beef round tip roast is perfectly cooked using a high-temperature oven method.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 500 F. Line a baking pan with foil and set a rack inside.

Score a diamond pattern on the beef's fat side.

Combine flour, kosher salt, garlic salt, and pepper in a bowl, then rub this mixture over the roast.

Place the seasoned roast on the rack, put it in the oven, and immediately reduce the temperature to 475 F.

Roast for 30 to 35 minutes, or approximately 7 minutes per pound.

Turn off the oven and leave the roast inside for 2.5 hours without opening the door.

Remove the roast, tent with foil, and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
