Beef Prime Rib Roast With Red Wine
A succulent beef prime rib roast is prepared by marinating it in red wine and garlic before roasting to tender perfection.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400 F.

Combine wine, olive oil, garlic, brown sugar, kosher salt, seasoned salt or Creole seasoning, and black pepper in a bowl.

Place the roast in a bag or bowl, pour the marinade over it, and ensure it is thoroughly coated. Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours, or let stand at room temperature for up to 1 hour.

Remove the roast from the marinade and set it on a rack in a shallow pan. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.

Cover tightly with foil and roast for 45 minutes.

Reduce oven heat to 325 F, remove the foil, and continue roasting until the internal temperature reaches 135 F to 140 F for medium-rare, about 1 to 1.5 hours longer.

Remove from oven, cover loosely with foil, and let stand for 15 minutes before slicing.
