Beef Jerky Recipe
A versatile homemade jerky recipe allows for preparation with beef or other meats like buffalo, venison, turkey, or chicken.

Preheat the oven to its lowest temperature, using convection or a dehydrate setting if available, or set up a food dehydrator.

Slice meat into approximately 1/4-inch-thick strips, optionally freezing it slightly for easier cutting, or flatten thicker pieces with a mallet.

Combine remaining ingredients with the sliced meat in a large glass bowl or baking dish, then cover and refrigerate overnight.

Place meat strips evenly on a wire roasting rack set within a sheet pan, optionally lined with foil, ensuring space between pieces.

Bake for 4 to 8 hours until dry, leathery, and still flexible, then store the finished jerky sealed at room temperature, refrigerated, or frozen.
