Beaufort Stew

Beaufort stew, also known as Low Country boil, is a fantastic communal meal for up to 12, perfect for camping, tailgating, or family gatherings.

Instructions

  1. Start boiling 8 quarts of water in a large stockpot with crab boil seasoning for 10-15 minutes.

  2. While water boils, scrub and cut potatoes into 2-inch chunks (or leave small ones whole), and cut sausage into 2-inch lengths.

  3. Add sausage to the boiling water.

  4. Add potatoes and boil for 10 minutes.

  5. Break corn in half, add to water, and continue boiling for 2 minutes.

  6. Add shrimp and boil for 2-3 minutes more.

  7. Drain the stew and serve immediately with cocktail sauce and melted butter.
