BBQ Thai Garlic Shrimp in the Shell

Quick and easy, these shrimp are marinated in a simple garlic sauce and then grilled in their shells, ready in minutes.

Instructions

  1. Warm the grill.

  2. Combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and lime juice for the marinade.

  3. For shrimp grilled in shells, cut along the belly from tail to head and flatten each prawn.

  4. Marinate the prawns in the sauce while the grill warms.

  5. Grill prawns for 3 to 5 minutes per side, directly on grates or a protective surface if needed, basting with extra sauce when turning until the flesh is pinkish-white.

  6. Serve immediately with lime or lemon wedges and cilantro.
