Instructions

  1. Scald 2 2/3 cups of milk.

  2. In a small bowl, combine cornstarch, sugar, and salt, then stir in the remaining 1/3 cup milk.

  3. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the scalded milk and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth.

  4. Continue cooking for 5 more minutes to ensure the cornstarch is fully cooked.

  5. Allow to cool slightly, then stir in the vanilla.

  6. Transfer the pudding into individual serving dishes.
